It will all be over long before August, and in any case Kusadasi is a long, long way from the easten areas of Turkey where all the cases are. And it might just as well be in a completely different country, the east is SO different from the west. I’ve visited typical villages in the east of the country, with no running water and people and animals all living in the same mudbrick shacks. I’m only surprised that they haven’t all succumbed to all sorts of diseases already!
They are the most lovely, friendly, hospitable people you could ever meet – but we were absolutely forbidden to drink the water anywhere we went. Tea was OK because it would have been boiled – and I have to say I didn’t have a bad stomach once during the whole month out there.
