I was watching Bill Oddie the other night, he was watching wildlife in the Orkneys. He mentioned that the Romans had been there, but I didn’t realize they had gone that far north.
Was this just a brief foray, early in their occupation ?

when Mark and I went there there was quite a bit of roman stuff in the museums this roman brooch was also found at Mine Howe (TT Programme was done from there too)
