My trip to Edinburgh went relatively uneventfully. Left here at 2.30am – got to Edinburgh airport at just after 3.30 having seen nothing worse than heavy frost, some fog banks and an icing sugar snow-dusting at the Edinburgh end. The roads were well gritted and I saw several gritters about and about, both on the M8 and on the A roads crossing it. I stayed with Josh until he was safely checked onto his plane, and was back home at 6.00am – just the time his plane would have been taking off!
Mind you I have spent most of today in my bed!
