Oooooh, now there’s an idea Co – can we have pints of beer or archaeology trowels rather than those rather dumb stars we had on the old forum? _________________

I’d really like to have some genuine claims to fame and maybe one day I shall. I’ve met and talked to many of the rich and famous of course. That’s part of the job and a lot of the time I’m incapable of feeling any awe because I don’t know that this or that person is a chart-topping heart throb. Having royalty in can be a pain but my nose to nose with her Maj during the jubilee celebrations was a bit of an eye opener because she has amazing skin for an old bird. My most notable encounter this year was undoubtedly with Jonathan Miller. Our conversation really turned on lights in my mind. I like people who have real presence, and for me he is the business. I’m following his History of Disbelief series on BBC2 with rather better concentration than when I saw it before on BBC4._________________

To bring this thread back on topic…. I am currently working on my claims to fame…..I could be appearing on both BBC and C4 over the next few months and have been rubbing shoulders with a number of very familiar faces this week.

Is next Sunday’s TT in Yorkshire, the one to watch Pam ?
