The C4 executive responsible for TT, Ralph Lee, has been talking to British Archaeology:
Quote:
|
The most popular, long-lived television archaeology brand has “seen off plenty of rivals”, and Lee feels “imitation was flattery”: Time Team is “a show that any channel would love to have” and will remain a key part of C4’s history department. |
That quote comes from the July/August issue, p.57. It is part of the regular review of TV archaeology by Angela Piccini and her students on Bristol University’s MA in Archaeology for Screen Media. This month they interrogate TV executives and programme-makers on policy. And Michael Wood gets a look-in. [Added] There is also an interview with Tim Tayor in this issue._________________
