I became interested in Archaeology after a brief visit to the Jorvik dig way back in the 70’s. I was amazed they could tell so much from bits of rubbish. I was unable to take this further until 1986 when I bunked off school to work on two digs, the first at fishergate in York and the second under what now is tesco’s car park doncaster. Many years passed before I again dug taking the opportunity of joining a local society and going to there summer dig. In november 2000 I was given the opportunity to excavate as employment and have been doing so since) My main areas of interest are in Roman Britain with emphasis on The port of Roman London and Danum (Doncaster). However I love any form of archaeology.
