Growing up with the tales of the Pendle Witches and my Grandparents farm being a stone’s throw from Demdike’s reputed hovel I couldn’t help but be interested in local history. Early visits to Scotland expanded my interest and its carried on ever since.

I’m only a armchair fan but once my family grow a bit maybe I’ll be able to take it further. I’m very lucky to live in a area that is full of history, from Kings and Queens to Iron Age and of course our infamous witches.

I have two main hobbies, I work competivly in obedience with my collies, which entails lots of car journeys to distant venues (all carefully thought out to where the nearest castles etc are!) I also train at my local dog club and am currently studying cannine behaviour with an open learning course.

My other hobby is local history. I am currently trying to find out more about a family farm, which is proving rather hard work!

On a personal note I am married to my long suffering husband Gerard, who is trying his best to get interested in castles etc but gets a bit bored after three or four on the run! For some reason he thinks fishing is more fun than scrabbling around ruins in the rain- strange man! I also have a son called Connor who has just started school. He takes after his mum and thinks ruins are cool! We’ll have to wait and see how long that lasts.

I have watched TT from the Ribchester episode as this is not far from my home, I got hooked and as they say, the rest is history!
