Abernethy Round Tower NO 190165 58 HS
This was the site of a Culdee Celtic Christian establishment, which was re-founded as a collegiate establishment in the 14th century. The slender round tower which is of Irish style was probably built by the Culdees in the 9th or 10th century and is one of only two examples in Scotland – the other being at Brechin.
