Hi, I joined the forum about a month ago. This is my first post here, so a bit about me first! I am a 46 year old male with a wife and two young children. We live in Ascot in Berkshire and I have been interested in History and Archaeology for as long as I can remember. I have worked as a `digger` on several digs including Bignor Roman Villa, Fishbourne Roman Palace and Clayhill (Ring Ditch) in east Sussex. I saw Tony last night in Reading. I thought he did well I enjoyed both parts of the show. The first hour was Tony doing a presentation of things past and present, and after a twenty minute break he came back on and did another hour of Q&A`s. Well put together and well presented. It was a good evenings enertainment. For those of you who are undecided, I recomend going along if he is at a theatre near you!

A bit belated, but Dydd Gwyl Dewi hapus i ti hefyd, Eddi! And I’m still wearing the daffodil I picked from my window box this morning – there are a couple more just about open at the far end of the lawn, sheltered by some bushes, but I didn’t fancy tramping down there through the snow to pick them!
Not sure if that’s really a daffodil but it’s the nearest I could find!

I watched all this year’s episodes, got quite scary when the female Peregrin disappeared for the day, and felt so sad about Kate’s bluetits. The only thing that annoys me about the programme is that Bill doesn’t shut up – he constantly interrupts Kate’s pieces to camera with silly comments. No pack I’m afraid, but I’ve already got the trees and pond and some dense growing bushes, next objective is to attract the robins – I think I have just the spot for a robin box, but that’s for next year._________________

Well done, Fil. We’ll catch you on another trip sometime soon, no doubt. Back to this trip… If we all want to see Docklands Museum, how about we drift down to the museum, look round at our own pace, then meet up at the entrance at, say 5.15, then we should have time for a quick snack before the tunnel trip?_________________Eileen
