No, not married yet!!! We’re in the process of planning though! Looking at next summer! Just at the venue choosing stage. Good to hear from you all!! Bruce, Alan, Tim – how are your better halves? D – not sure about getting webby back up! My current job leaves me shattered come the end of the day so did post on the old forum for a volunteer to take over (posted on 2 threads!) and have had no response to it other than Awkward offering a home for it but not really looking to develop it. Of course, my old domain got wiped and I thought I had a back up locally but it’s very fragmented…._________________

The forum is dead Long live the forum! 😀 Ahhh! Smell that new forum smell. No food or drink allowed in case it spills and stains the upholstery. 😉

BTW, is it me, or is this shiny new forum courtesy of Co (Thanks Co! ) quicker than the C4 one, and with more mod cons too?

Right then, off for a little light exploration.

Sorry for the silence. And, Durno, sorry I couldn’t get there yesterday. I’ve just got back from Devon, and heard yesterday that my mother (only saw her on Thursday….) has broken her wrist, so guess what… Oh joy. Anyway, folks, enough of that rubbish. I’ve posted a trip to Portsmouth for 3 June on the Forthcoming Trips thread. I know it’s ages off yet and that peeps can’t decide yet a while but I thought I’d get on with it while the energy was there, sort of.

But I am hoping we’ll meet up well before then, so when if anyone fancies a trip (and there is no imminent crisis down west) I’ll be there!

Hello Bruce – yes I did used to post several years ago. I had a five year break from archaeology. I started fieldwalking again this winter and rebuilt the website accordingly.

Nice that someone remembers me

I’ve listed Thetford Forest Archaeology in the Open Directory. I remember it from before. Did I list it back then? If I did, the listing clearly didn’t survive._________________

I wondered why nobody had responded to my post and now I find it’s disappeared….

Anyway, I was suggesting a visit to King’s Lynn and checking what people’s diaries were like for just after Easter – about time we got out of the winter laziness!

http://www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/Default.aspx?page=21768

There’s lots to do although some of it might be better left to a warm summer’s day. What are folks’ plans and who’s up for it?

Castle Acre Priory and Castle are worth a visit, (They’re English Heritage too)there’s also a nice village with eating places.
After Easter would be fine.

I’d welcome a trip to Kings Lynn. And Castle Acre is so lovely that I’d happily return there any time. Have you been to Flag Fen? I intend to go there anyway, but if the group haven’t been for a while then maybe?_________________

I think Flag Fen is best visited when there is an event going on. We went there with Jenni and Jan a few years ago. I’m sure there’s something on their website.
