SOUNDS BORING?

not when you read these articles by our very own Sir Mark D’Essex who apparently hails from Venta Basildunum, East Saxon Shore

After being thrown out once, he finally has managed to visit and write up his article on St Andrew Undershaft see here……….and well one Sir Mark 😀

I was down in the City this week for a meeting but, sorry, no camera with me and afterwards I went straight on over to Covent Garden.

I’ll gradually collect a few more photos for you as time goes on; but I do already have pix of Temple Church somewhere and they’ll emerge eventually – just stay patient…

I’ve got a couple of ideas Co, and I’m currently gathering equipment for a feasibility study.

The equipment consists of a small coin with heads and tails clearly displayed

www.webbaviation.co.uk, or, to his mates – Jonathan – has kindly agreed to allow the use of any of his aerial photos for use on www.yorkshirehistory.com. He’s told me, that although he has, and can fly a microlight aircraft, due to certain restrcitions, he is not permitted to fly over populated areas. He therefore has to resort to hiring an aircraft at the cost to him of £150 per hour. So, enjoy his images, buy some if you can, he deserves it I think _________________

That’s been there a long time – I found it just AFTER we’d made the first Grime Team video. It’s good._________________Eileen

Thought I’d already done a thread for this!!

Anyway, ourpasthistory.com is the addy for the site I’ve created for Darwen Archaeology Society. It is still a work in progress as I am still receiving info although not as frequently as I’d hoped!!

I am looking into changing the Home page somehow and I do have a couple of ideas.

So!!!! Comments please on how you think it looks and you think it needs will be gratefully accepted
