During WW2, Western Approaches HQ was the most important suit of rooms in the kingdom. This fascinating underground labyrinth of rooms, once a top secret nerve centre, is now open to the public from March to October, thur and Sat 10.30-4.30pm St.Georges Hall. With its splendid chandeliers and guilded plasterwork, its one of the finest neo-classical buildings in europe and remains unique intrems of its architecture, function and history. tours mon-sat 11.30-12.30 or 1.30-3pm. Also possibles: The Albert Dock experience (expensive shops restaraunts and bars) Pier head & three Graces. Liverpool Town hall. I think spring really has sprung today. In the last hour in the garden I’ve seen 4 cabbage white butterflies, a family of long-tailed tits, Mr & Mrs Blackbird are building a nest in the Kilmarnock Willow, the robins are cheeping merrily away inthe ditch, the woods are alive with birdsong, and to really make me smile, a pair of wrens are tending a nest in the honeysuckle… The daffodils are in flower and it’s 13deg!_________________

I think you’ll find she was typing from a horizontal position, possibly with a cold compress, a strong black coffee and an industrial sized bottle of aspirin to hand _________________

Thanks everyone … nearly back to normal now – got another birthday bash for me tomorrow and then it is back to reality I think a week is long enough to celebrate reaching 30
