Most of the rubble did look as if it hadn’t moved very far and yes, I do think it is possible that if they had gone deeper (especially in the trench outside the garden wall, where the tile was found) then it may have been possible to trace foundations or robbed foundations. I do think more could be done and a local group LHI came to visit the site so maybe they will do some more work in the future. Like most of the LHI groups in my district, however, they don’t get involved with excavation for some reason.
