my back ups for here can be done as zip compression files but they are saving as gz files which open in trackmaker any ideas how to save them as what ever they should be so that they can be opened in correct format if needed?_________________Corinne Mills

iirc Trackmaker is a GPS that stores its data files in tar.gz format, and I’m guessing that you’ve got Trackmaker installed on your PC. Looking at Ipower’s Support Center (sic) you would restore the site backup using the same file type; this would be the correct format for Ipower.
You should be able to open GZ files using WinZip; I think it will prompt you for the extension part of the filename that is stored INSIDE the GZ file; I think Trackmaker uses GTM as its file extension. I’m not sure what file extension is used for the Ipower backups.
