ok, I’m having another go on the new machine and Firefox v.1.5 and something has really ‘foxed’ me I’ve tried this all sorts of ways and keep getting stuck: 1] click on install extension 2] a warning bar appears below the tabs “Software installation is currently disabled – click edit options” 3] the ‘edit options’ button takes you straight to the Content tab in Options 4] I’ve tried all combinations of checking/unchecking ‘Warn me when web sites try to install extensions or themes” and adding to the exceptions log the site “addons.mozilla.org” (is this the correct address?) 5] after trying this, clicking install extension still remains blocked is there another overiding blocking setting that needs to be switched off? I can’t find it… [in FF v.1.5 the Options dialogue box has had it’s tabs and layout redesigned with a few things moving about a bit] ~ Pete ~_________________
