Mick likes to travel. Good thing. He does it all the time! 
Apart from rushing around the country with TT, Mick has always lectured and attended conferences across the UK and abroad. I expect you know that he first met Tony Robinson when Tony signed up for one of Mick’s study tours to Santorini. (I kept meaning to go on one myself, but never did.)
And the minute Mick gets any free time he shoots off somewhere, often combining work and pleasure, (if the distinction makes any sense for a man who lives to work). He used a holiday in Crete to write Mick’s Archaeology.
