I have been contributing to the forum for about 18 months. I used to use the name ‘Ellie’ but now use my real name. I’m a history teacher at a girls’ school in Southport. I use the forum to voice my thoughts and ideas from time to time and certainly enjoy a good argument when one arises. I admit that my archaeological knowledge is limited but can hold my own when it comes to historical discussions, particularly those that concern my own areas of interest.
I was born and brought up in Lancashire and still live there now. After my A-levels I studied at Sheffield University where I got my degree (in History of course) and then I qualified as a teacher at Lancaster University. I now dedicate my days to trying to make teenagers interested in history and have a fairly dynamic approach to teaching. I have a great love for my subject and cannot understand those who do not share this interest.
I have been married for over two years and my husband Jason is in the process of setting up his own property business. We have two cats, Molly and Eddie and are trying to add to this with a family of our own. I am also currently (slowly) working on a novel as this is my great ambition.

Modern World History , especially World Wars 1 and 2 and Nazi Germany. Also interested in the Roman Empire and Industrial Britian, particularly the North West.
